OTS Secretary General meets with Ambassadors of member and observer states in Washington, D.C.
AKIPRESS.COM – The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a meeting with the Ambassadors of the OTS member states and observers accredited in the United States. The meeting was hosted by Khazar Ibrahim, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Washington, D.C., in his capacity as the Chairpersonship-in-Office of the OTS.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Kazakhstan Magzhan Ilyassov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Moldogaziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov, Ambassador of Hungary Szabolcs Takács, Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Turkmenistan Shohrat Pirmuhammedov, Chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Türkiye Murat Uğurluoğlu, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Damla Guclu.
During the meeting, the OTS Secretary General noted that the events organized by the U.S. side at leading think tanks, with the participation of experts and fellows from prominent analytical centres, as well as meetings with U.S. officials in Washington, reflect the increasing attention to the OTS. He emphasized that this is driven by the Organization’s gradual institutional development and its transformation into a practical, results-oriented structure, with expanding cooperation in connectivity, economic integration, security, and people-to-people exchanges.
The heads of diplomatic missions of the OTS member states expressed their readiness to actively promote the Organization’s agenda in USA. They also reaffirmed their commitment to closer coordination among OTS missions in the United States and to enhancing the visibility and engagement of the Turkic World with U.S.
