The first International Food Industry Forum of Tajikistan will be held in Dushanbe on August 20–21, bringing together more than 500 participants, over 30 speakers and representatives from at least 15 countries, according to the event’s official website.
The forum will take place at the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe and is being organized by Tajikistan’s Ministry of Industry and New Technologies with government support and in partnership with state agencies, international organizations and the private sector.
Food producers, processing companies, exporters, investors, equipment suppliers, government officials and representatives of international organizations are expected to attend.
Discussions will focus on supplying agricultural raw materials to processing companies, food quality and safety, attracting investment, introducing modern technologies, developing the packaging industry and helping Tajik products enter foreign markets.
Separate sessions will cover organic production, sustainable agriculture, international quality standards, digital labeling and product traceability.
Participants will also discuss the use of artificial intelligence, production automation, digital printing, smart packaging and environmentally friendly packaging materials.
What does the program include?
The forum will open with an official ceremony and a plenary session on August 20.
Participants will examine key trends in agricultural processing, exports, food security and international cooperation.
Tajik companies will present priority food industry projects to potential investors. Discussions will also cover modern production technologies, quality standards, certification, export logistics and cold-chain management.
The second day will feature sessions on business financing, government support measures and digital solutions in the FoodTech sector.
Bilateral meetings are also planned between producers, buyers, investors and equipment suppliers.
Food and packaging exhibition to run for three days
The UPAK EXPO 2026 International Food Industry and Packaging Exhibition will be held alongside the forum from August 20 to 22 at the Dushanbe EXPO Centre.
According to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participating companies will be able to showcase food products, packaging materials, containers, labels, and food production and packaging equipment.
The exhibition is being organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The forum itself will conclude on August 21, while the exhibition will remain open through August 22.
According to the Agency for Statistics, Tajikistan produced food products, beverages and tobacco goods worth 12.4 billion somoni in 2025.
Overall manufacturing output in the country increased by 10.5% last year.
