Kyrgyzstan to switch to 12-year education system from 2025 – Presidential Administration
AKIPRESS.COM – Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, Kyrgyzstan will officially switch to 12-year school education system, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Azamat Kadyraliev said on August 18.
The first students under new system will graduate from school in the 2036-2037 academic year.
Starting from this academic year, grades 1-2, 5, 7 will correspond to the new standards. Schools will gradually switch to new textbooks, electronic resources and modern teaching methods.
In September, six-year-old children (first grade) and seven-year-old children (second grade) will go to school.
