Kyrgyzstan to increase liability for trafficking of excisable goods

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Economy Bakyt Sydykov introduced a bill to amend several legislative acts concerning taxation at a meeting of the Parliament’s committee.

The bill includes amendments to the Criminal Code that would increase liability for the illegal trafficking of excisable goods and for violating rules on the use of fiscal software.

Additionally, the bill proposes changes to other legal acts that are related to amendments in the Tax Code, along with other clarifying provisions.

The primary goal of the proposed changes is to create a more favorable environment for business development by reducing the administrative burden and shrinking the shadow economy. These measures are intended to increase the transparency and efficiency of Kyrgyzstan’s tax system.
