Asan Janyshov wins bronze medal of Islamic Solidarity Games
AKIPRESS.COM – Asan Janyshov from Kyrgyzstan won a bronze medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia.
He competed in the 87 kg weight class.
Janyshov started from the 1/16 finals and advanced to the semifinals, defeating athletes from Uzbekistan and Turkey.
In the semifinals, he competed against the reigning world champion from Iran and lost a close fight 6-7.
In the bronze medal bout, the Kyrgyzstani competed against Islam Abbasov from Azerbaijan and defeated him 9-0.
Janyshov won the bronze medal and finished third overall.
In the 77 kg weight class, Akzhol Makhmudov advanced to the final.
