34th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day celebrated in Istanbul
AKIPRESS.COM – A celebration dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on September 14, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on September 17.
The event was organized by the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul.
It was attended by approximately 2,000 compatriots from various regions of Turkey, as well as representatives of local governments.
Ruslan Kazakbaev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey, addressed the participants with a welcoming address. He said that Independence Day symbolizes the stability, strength, and unity of the Kyrgyz people, and reminds them of the need to carefully preserve and strengthen their newfound freedom.
The evening culminated in a concert featuring folk artists of Kyrgyzstan.
Chyngyz Toktobekov, Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul, delivered the closing remarks, describing the reforms being implemented in Kyrgyzstan and emphasizing the country’s commitment to supporting citizens abroad.
