South Sudanese dancer and choreographer Brizzy De Dancer is appealing for financial support to travel to the United Kingdom for an audition for Britain’s Got Talent scheduled for September 6, 2026.
The 24-year-old dancer, who began his career in 2013, says he has continued dancing despite financial difficulties and an accident that nearly ended his career.
Brizzy says his earnings from dancing helped him complete Senior Four at Juba Technical Secondary School, but he has been unable to pursue university studies because of financial constraints.
He has performed at various events and produced dance videos on the streets of Juba, which have attracted thousands of social media users.
Brizzy says he first applied for Britain’s Got Talent in 2022 but could not pursue the opportunity because he lacked financial support. He applied again in 2024 but faced the same challenge.
This year, he applied for the third time and says he has been invited to audition on September 6.
In a video posted on his TikTok account, Brizzy appealed to well-wishers and organizations to support his travel and participation in the audition.
He says the opportunity would allow him to showcase South Sudanese dance talent on an international stage.
Earlier this year, Brizzy appeared on Eye Radio’s SoundTrack programme, where he spoke about his choreographic journey and his desire to see South Sudanese dancers compete with performers from across the region.
“I didn’t give up,” Brizzy said.
He is now appealing to individuals, organizations and other well-wishers to help him meet the costs of travelling to the United Kingdom and pursue the opportunity.
For Brizzy, the audition represents an opportunity to advance his career while showcasing South Sudanese dance talent internationally.
