President Salva Kiir has dismissed 11 lawmakers from the Western Bahr el Ghazal State Legislative Assembly and replaced them with new members, according to the office of the state governor.
The changes were announced in a statement issued by the office of Governor Sharif Daniel Sharif on Wednesday.
The lawmakers removed from the assembly are William Kamilo Buluk, Amansio Angelo Ungom, Fatima Ramadan, Adil Mohamed El Hassan, Juma Abdalla Mohamed, Pasquale Majok Majok, Urbano Okello Angui, Paul Bernado Finjan, Yasir Buola Pinyi, Ilario Ahel Kech and Sami Ismael.
They have been replaced by Louis Limbo Kamilo, Mebam Fatuor Abduraham, Esterina Patristio Darnas, Ali Suleiman Abdalla, Abdu Juma Hussein, Martha Bol Madut, Laura Tartizio Fedale, Sebit Peter Anthony, John Udong Ukel, Peter Dhel Muong and Barsham Musa Yaka.
The governor’s office did not say which parties to the Revitalized Peace Agreement the outgoing and newly appointed lawmakers represent.
