Police have arrested a 23-year-old man linked to the drive-by mass shooting in Reiger Park, Ekurhuleni, that left six people dead and three others wounded on Saturday.
Officers apprehended the suspect on Monday after an investigation led by the Anti-Gang Unit.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrest and said detectives continue to investigate possible motives.
He will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Reiger Park attack left six dead
Gunmen killed six people and injured three others in a drive-by shooting in Reiger Park, Boksburg, on Saturday, 1 November 2025.
According to the South African Police Services, two vehicles, a silver Polo and a black Polo, drove into the area and opened fire on a group of people.

Gauteng’s Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Fred Kekana, welcomed the breakthrough.
