Police said the suspect, identified as Mário E., exposed himself during a journey between Mariánska and Americké námestie on 27 August, causing public outrage. He then shouted obscenities at fellow passengers.

An elderly man who intervened was first verbally abused and then physically assaulted. The suspect was forced off the tram but allegedly stole the man’s bag, which contained cash and a mobile phone, before fleeing.

He was later detained following a call to the police emergency line and placed in custody, according to Bratislava police spokesman Michal Szeiff.
