Sierra Leonean sprinter Elma Sesay delivered her best performance of the 2026 season in the women’s 100m at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Competing at Scotstoun Stadium, Sesay clocked 12.28 seconds, a season-best time, to finish sixth in Heat 7.
Canada’s Sade McCreath and Pierrick Linda Moulin secured the top two spots to qualify for the semi-finals.
Although she narrowly missed out on a place in the next round, Sesay expressed satisfaction with her improved performance on the international stage and is now focused on the women’s 200m, where she hopes to build on her momentum.
