ACC conveys integrity messages to schools in Port Loko

 AYV News, February 17, 2026

The Public Education Unit of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), North West Regional Office, has engaged members of Integrity School Clubs in seven junior and senior secondary schools in Port Loko district, North West Region, as part of the Commission’s sustained public education and corruption-prevention drive.

The ACC team engaged Jeremiah Secondary School, Movement of Faith Secondary School, Baptist Secondary School, Munor Mo Karr Secondary School, Afro International Secondary School, Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School, and Ernest Bai Koroma Junior Secondary School.

During the week-long engagements, Senior Public Education Officer, ACC, Samuel Junisa Sankoh, delivered integrity-focused messages and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to catching young minds early as a long term strategy for combating corruption.

“The Anti-Corruption Commission believes that nurturing integrity at an early stage is key to building a corruption-resistant society,” Mr. Sankoh stated.

He described integrity within the school system as honesty, trustworthiness, punctuality, regular school attendance, and the rejection of truancy, bribery, sex for grades, falsification of academic records, and other corrupt practices. He noted that through Integrity Clubs, pupils are equipped with values that promote honesty, responsibility, and accountability, which they carry into adulthood.

Mr. Sankoh further reminded Integrity Club members and Teacher Coordinators of their roles as ambassadors of integrity, noting that their behaviour within the school environment often reflects practices in the wider community.

He concluded by assuring participants of a formal launch of the newly instituted Integrity Clubs, alongside sustained engagement activities with older ones in the North West Region.
