High school students from Serbia have won three medals at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Education announced today.

Competing against 362 students from 92 countries, Andrej Drobnjaković from the Mathematical Grammar School won a silver medal, Filip Kilibarda from the Mathematical Grammar School and Marko Branković from the Bora Stanković Grammar School in Niš won bronze medals, while Irina Alimpijević from the Mathematical Grammar School received an honourable mention.

Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković congratulated the students on their achievements.

“I congratulate you on the success you have achieved through your knowledge and hard work. I wish you continued success in winning medals in the future,” Stanković stated.
