The Madlenianum Opera and Theatre announced today that the upcoming season, starting on 29 September, will feature a programme with six premieres for its audience.

The season opens on 29 September with the play I, Emma – The Love Life of Emma Bovary, based on the novel by Gustave Flaubert. The production is directed by Tanja Mandić Rigonat, with Jana Milosavljević starring in the title role.

The second theatrical premiere is Arthur Miller’s After the Fall, directed by Petar Jovanović and scheduled for 25 October, with the lead male role played by Bojan Žirović.

The premiere of the opera Evita, one of the most famous works by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is set for 28 November. It is directed by Margareta Taboroši, with Irina Arsenijević in the role of Evita.

In addition to the new productions, popular plays from the current repertoire that have already captured the audience’s attention will remain on the bill, including The Glass Menagerie, Gentleman in Smoke-Coloured Boots, Lungs, and others
