Criticism has echoed across Europe over the high-profile funeral of Ratko Mladic on Monday in Belgrade, raising questions about the potential repercussions for Serbia of giving a convicted war criminal a hero’s farewell.
His funeral with military honours was attended by senior officials of Serbia and Bosnia’s mainly Serb entity, Republika Srpska.
Ministers from the Serbian government included Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, Justice Minister Nenad Vujic and Culture Minister Nikola Selakovic.
