From 18 to 20 September, Belgrade will once again be celebrating Latin American culture at KC Grad. This means that the Belgrade Latinée festival is returning to our capital for its second edition, featuring the music, flavours and creativity of Latin America. Admission is free.
Over three days, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse programme dedicated to Latin American culture through food, drink, music, dance, visual arts, community initiatives and cultural exchange.
This year’s programme features a vibrant Food Plaza with Latin American flavours and specialities, a Dancing Arena offering classes and dance sessions in salsa, bachata, kizomba and cumbia, evening DJ sets, as well as the festival opening with Fiesta Friday. Visitors will also be able to take part in the Language Café Belgrade programme, which encourages intercultural exchange through conversation and languages, as well as the Latino Legal Drive initiative, aimed at supporting the community, which will run throughout the festival weekend.
All of this will take place over three days at KC Grad from 17:00 to 22:00, allowing visitors to enjoy the programme after work and throughout the evening. On Sunday, 20 September, the closing celebration will run until midnight, when the festival will close with a special farewell party.
The Food Plaza will be open every day from 17:00 to 22:00, offering a varied selection of Latin American gastronomy. Visitors will have the chance to sample authentic dishes from the region, accompanied by cocktails and music that capture the spirit of Latin America.
A special gastronomic highlight on the first day of the festival will be Venezuelan arepas and arepitas, which will be presented to visitors by Michaelle Taurel at the Food Arena from 17:00 to 22:00 or until sold out. The organisers note that reservations for the Food Plaza will not be available, so visitors are advised to secure their spots in good time.
