The 93rd International Agricultural Fair will be held in Novi Sad from 16 to 21 May, featuring more than 1,200 exhibitors from Serbia and around 40 countries.
This year’s partner country of the Agricultural Fair is the Czech Republic, and a press conference announcing the six-day event was held today at the Czech Embassy in Belgrade.
As stated by Slobodan Cvetković, Director General of the Novi Sad Fair, visitors can expect an exhibition of agricultural machinery, state-of-the-art supporting equipment and spare parts over the six days. The focus of this year’s Agricultural Fair will be on artificial intelligence, digitalisation, new technologies, green initiatives and food safety, with special emphasis on young people in agriculture and international cooperation.
He also announced that the largest National Livestock Exhibition would be organised, along with exhibitions of organic products and products with geographical indication labels, craft beer, as well as professional and business conferences at the Master Congress Centre and at exhibitors’ stands. Awards from the Novi Sad Fair will also be presented.
According to him, key information on agricultural policy measures, modern production trends, and practical support for the planning and development of farms will be available at the stands of institutions.
This year, Family Day will take place on Saturday, 16 May, while Livestock Breeders’ Day will be held on Thursday, 21 May, when awards will be ceremonially presented to the best breeders, accompanied by a parade of the prize-winning animals. On the same day, the winner of a John Deere 5045 D tractor in the prize draw for visitors with purchased tickets will also be announced. The prize has been provided by the company Kite DOO.
He also emphasised that this year’s agricultural fair has received support from the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. The general sponsor is Dunav Insurance, the gold sponsor is Al-Dahra, while Banka Poštanska Štedionica is the partner bank.
The fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The price of an individual ticket is 1,000 dinars, group visits cost 750 dinars, while tickets for organised school and university visits, children aged seven to fourteen, and pensioners cost 500 dinars.
On Family Day, 16 May, an entire family with children under the age of 14 – regardless of the number of children – will be able to visit the fair with a single purchased ticket costing 1,000 dinars, reports Tanjug.
