Vince Zampella, key figure behind Call of Duty, dies in a car accident in Los Angeles

Vince Zampella, the American co-creator of the video game franchise Call of Duty, has died at the age of 55 in a car accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, according to American media.

According to information reported by NBC, the accident occurred on the Angeles Crest Highway, a mountain road north of the city. The executive, known for co-founding Infinity Ward before leading Respawn Entertainment, also recently held responsibilities around the Battlefield franchise.

When questioned, the California Highway Patrol confirmed that a collision on Sunday in the mentioned area had resulted in two deaths. However, the authorities did not wish to disclose the identities of the victims.
