The government of Senegal will launch a new platform for exchanges with the media this Friday at 3:30 pm, called “Kaddu”, which means “the word” in Wolof, announces a note from the Government Information and Communication Bureau (BIC-GOUV).
This initiative aims to strengthen transparency and education in public action, by providing a regular communication platform on key national topics of interest. The meeting will take place at the Presidential Administrative Building Mamadou Dia and will be moderated by Mrs. Marie Rose Khady Fatou Faye, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Relations with institutions and government spokesperson.
The Minister of Interior and Public Security, Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, will provide an update on the ongoing security and reorganization operations in Dakar and its suburbs. The Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation, Cheikh Tidiane Dièye, will present the assessment of the winter operations, as well as the management of floods that have recently affected several localities, especially in the north and east of the country, after the rise of the Senegal River and the Falémé River. The Minister of National Education, Moustapha Guirassy, will review the progress of the school year, a key moment marked by efforts to organize and support the actors of the educational system.
