The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, announced that an agreement has been reached with a satellite operator to ensure, before the end of the year, full coverage of the territory with perfect redundancy in terms of connectivity, for optimal service quality.
He specified that connectivity is the central focus of the country’s technological efforts. Senegal already has a 6,000-kilometer fiber optic network, and the so-called “white” areas will be covered by the end of the year if all goes as planned, as the contract has already been signed and all formalities completed. This network extension is therefore a concrete reality.
