The eviction operation comes after the Court of First Instance, ruling in summary proceedings, sided with the Agency for Real Estate Management and Promotion (AGEPI), represented by Me Mohamed Mahmoune Fall. The dispute concerned the villa located at lot 7 in Sacré-Cœur 1, registered under land title No. 4220 of Grand Dakar (formerly TF 29.586/DG), owned by Mamadou Ba.

The court recognized that Mamadou Diop was occupying the premises without legal title, and ordered his eviction, as well as that of his belongings and anyone staying in his name. The order expressly provided for the use of public force in case of refusal, which explains the presence of police officers this morning.
