Jorge Mendes to Find a New Club for Ibrahim Mbaye

Ibrahim Mbaye’s future will be written away from Paris Saint-Germain. According to transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, the young Senegalese international, under contract with the Parisian club until 2028, is expected to leave the French champions before the end of the summer transfer window.

At just 18 years old, the Senegalese winger, considered one of the greatest hopes in African football, wants to benefit from more playing time to continue his development. Despite spending two seasons in PSG’s professional squad, the strong offensive competition represented notably by Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, and Bradley Barcola has significantly reduced his opportunities.

The situation has taken on a new dimension with the arrival of Jorge Mendes in managing his career. The famous Portuguese agent, known for orchestrating several of the biggest European transfers, has now taken over from the player’s family. This collaboration could accelerate discussions with the many clubs already interested in the case. Several Premier League and Bundesliga teams are closely monitoring the young Senegalese’s situation. In England, Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham are among the clubs frequently mentioned, while Borussia Dortmund is also interested in the profile of the player who shone during the 2026 World Cup under Senegal’s colors.

While Wolverhampton has historically been close to Jorge Mendes, the club, now in the Championship, is not expected to enter the race to recruit Ibrahim Mbaye, whose sporting ambitions lean towards a top-tier league. However, Paris Saint-Germain would not completely close the door on keeping their young talent. In the event of a departure, the capital club would wish to achieve a significant financial gain. According to several European media outlets, the Parisian leaders would value their gem between 40 and 50 million euros and could include a buy-back clause to maintain control over his future.
