During a recent meeting, the Director General of ARCOP, Dr. Moustapha Djitté, announced the upcoming launch of a platform for the dematerialization of public procurement procedures. According to him, this tool could allow the State to achieve up to 10% savings on its expenses, approximately 300 billion CFA francs per year, out of a total estimated volume of 3,000 billion.
Beyond substantial savings, this platform aims to strengthen the transparency of procedures and to promote a more equitable environment for the private sector. “The clearer and more transparent the rules are, the more chances companies have to win contracts and grow,” emphasized Dr. Djitté, stressing the need to promote endogenous solutions to place national actors at the heart of the system.
ARCOP thus affirms its commitment to supporting the private sector in this dynamic, with the aim of stimulating economic growth and contributing to the country’s development. The platform should also improve the efficiency of administrative processes, reduce procurement delays, and limit the risks of corruption or favoritism in the awarding of public contracts.
The project is part of a global will to modernize public procurement and rationalize expenses, while creating a more favorable framework for investment and the emergence of a dynamic national entrepreneurial fabric.
