Voting Final count confirms 3 FAST, 3 HRPP, 1 Independent seat

Apia, Samoa – 02 September 2025: Final count of the votes early this morning confirmed Vaimauga 4 seat going to former Clerk of Parliament and HRPP candidate, Lima Graeme Tualaulelei. He secured 1137 votes against FAST woman candidate Tonuu Fuamoli Amituanai, 949 votes. The seat was held by caretaker Minister of Police Faualo Harry Schuster who came fourth with 173 votes.

Vaimauga 2
HRPP candidate Lenatai Victor Faafoi Tamapua has secured the Vaimauga 2 seats with 1341 votes, Tamaleta Taimang Jensen of FAST, 886 votes and Independent Niuafolau Fauolegogo Patu Tanielu with 87 votes.

Vaisigano 2
Independent Motuapuaa Seve Henney Papalii has secured the Vaisigano 2 with 409 votes and FAST’s Tagaloa Leilua Tupou 193 and Su’a Lesa Timoteo with 166 votes.

The seat was held by caretaker Minister of Health, Valasi Luapitofanua Tafito Selesele of the Samoa Uniting Party, 135 votes with HRPP candidate Alopopo Sifausa Matafeo with 76 votes.

Safata 2
Final count for Safata 2 returns former MP, Tuia Pua Letoa for HRPP with 650, FAST candidate Tupai Saimasi John Mathes 628 votes. Caretaker minister Laumatiamanu Ringo Purcell of the Samoa Uniting Party (SUP) 287 and Losalio Niumata of Samoa Labour Party (SLP) 28 votes.

Aana Alofi 2
Former CEO of Health, Aiono Alec Ekeroma of FAST has secured the seat with 547 votes, Aiono Tile Gafa of HRPP 473, Ape Leulumoega Sofara FAST with 109 and Aiono Tuala Meapelo Frost 78.

Faleata 4
Ale Vena Ale returns for Faleata 4 seat with 1,226 votes and his opponent, Pepe Christian Fruean for HRPP received 672 votes.

Palauli 3
Aiolupo Tony of FAST 811, Leituala Ben of HRPP 505 and caretaker Minister Lagaaia Tiatau 75.

The counting continues today.
