The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) conducted a community awareness program on its services at the invitation of the Samea–Mulifanua Methodist Church.
The program was opened with a prayer by Reverend Tavita Leiatua, who also acknowledged the challenging work undertaken by SVSG in serving the people of Samoa. He congratulated the organisation on reaching the significant milestone of celebrating 20 years of service in June this year.
Children as young as three years old were present and engaged, responding with enthusiasm to the messages delivered by SVSG’s Community Division.

The presence of village matai demonstrated strong community support. Of particular significance was the participation of young mothers and youth who have successfully registered to serve as SVSG Village Representatives and are actively involved in the Nofotane Programmes.
The SVSG team was led by Ms Folasaitu Tumua Tofete, Vice President of the SVSG Village Representatives and a Board Member who has been with the organisation since its establishment.

In her address, Ms Tofete highlighted the vital role of youth in SVSG’s work, emphasizing how they are inspired and driven by the organisation’s vision to advocate for justice and stand up for the most vulnerable members of society.
The Samea–Mulifanua Methodist Church and SVSG have formalised a partnership and are now part of the organisation’s growing network, working collaboratively to prevent and eradicate violence within communities.
