The organising committee of the IBFC Universal Weightlifting Cup allocated AUD $106,000 in prize money for special awards, including top male and female lifters receiving up to AUD $10,000 each.
Samoa secured both the top overall male and female team titles, earning a combined total of AUD $40,000.
Speaking in a press conference the President of the Samoa Weightlifting Federation, Tuaopepe Asiata Jerry Wallwork said the AUD $40,000 prize money was distributed equally among athletes, coaches, and officials of Team Samoa.

Tuaopepe clarify that only the $40,000AUD was distributed but the special moneytary awards received by the individuals he did not touch it as it belongs to the individuals themselves.
Eighteen year old Seine Stowers received $10,000AUD for best overall female lifter, John Tafi was name second best male Junior lifter who received $5,000AUD and Sanele Mao in third place in the best overall super lifter who received $3,000AUD.

Team Samoa received a total of 50 medals, which include 26 gold, 16 silver and 6 bronze medals.
