HOUSE FIRE IN NU’UULI SENDS ONE PERSON TO HOSPITAL, FOURTH MAJOR FIRE THIS MONTH | Talanei
A house fire in Nu’uuli, behind the pool hall next to Alora’s restaurant, sent one person to the hospital Friday morning, the fourth major fire in American Samoa this month.
Neighbors report the house was occupied when the fire started around 7:30 a.m.Photos show the residence fully engulfed in smoke, with flames shooting through cracks in the roof.
An eyewitness reports one person was removed from the home and taken away by ambulance.
Police and fire personnel appeared to have the fire extinguished within about two hours. The cause has not yet been reported.
The fire is the fourth major fire in American Samoa this month, following fires at the Manu’a Store, a home in Vailoa, and an old residential complex at Lions Park.
