Cabinet has approved the appointment of Fuimaono Vaitolo Ofoia as Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Revenue, the Government of Samoa has announced.
The appointment was announced on Friday, 19 December 2025, by Prime Minister Lauialemalietoa Polataivao Fosi Schmidt, through an official statement issued by the Government Press Secretariat.
Fuimaono brings more than 30 years of experience across public service and civil society. Since 2019, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Umbrella for Non-Governmental Organisations (SUNGO).
He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Accounting from New England University, Australia, and both a Master of Professional Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University, Australia.
In his new role, Fuimaono will lead the administration of the Ministry of Revenue, which is responsible for Samoa’s revenue collection and related fiscal functions.
