Thursday 23 October 2023, Auckland NZ. An official meeting was held on Thursday between the Prime Minister of Samoa, Hon Laaulialemalietoa Polataivao Leuatea Fosi Schmidt and Her Excellency, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Israel, Sharren Miriam Haskel.
His Excellency the Consular General for Israel in New Zealand – Mr Alon Roth-Snir was also in attendance.
Prime Minister of Samoa meets with Her Excellency, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Israel, Sharren Miriam Haskel.
The Samoa Prime Minister spoke of the significance of the meeting on his social media page.
“We discussed in this meeting the possible new opportunities for our nation through international relations,” said Laaulialemalietoa.
Also in attendance were His Exellency Consular General of Samoa, Afioga Afemata Palusalue Fa’apo and Samoa’s Trade Commissioner, Tofā Va’atu’itu’i Apete Meredith.
Samoa hosted the Israel Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at Samoa House (Fale o Samoa) which also houses the Office of the Consular General in Mangere, Auckland.
The Prime Minister of Samoa is in Auckland for medical treatment and has been holding key meetings while in New Zealand.
