The President of the American Samoa Community College, Ti’alemasunu Dr Mikaele Etuale has established an ad hoc committee to take charge of the transition of college leadership and operations.
The task of the ASCC Presidential Transition Ad Hoc Committee is to review the college’s current status, operations, institutional data and needs and compile a comprehensive transition report to support continuity, informed decision making and future planning.
A memo that the ASCC President issued to faculty yesterday laid out the scope of the committee’s review which covers all aspects of the college operations including academic affairs and student access, finances, facilities, infrastructure and technology, human resources, accreditation, grants, and partnerships. The Committee is also to identify challenges, opportunities and institutional needs and make recommendations for continuity and transition.
The committee comprises 8 members and Tafaimamao Tupuola is named as the Chair of Academic Excellence and the Staff Chair is Falefata Moli Lemana.
