A book by HJ Moors will be available for signing by HJ Moors’ two grandsons, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi and Misa Telefoni Retzlaff.
Written by HJ Moors in 1911 – “With Stevenson in Samoa” celebrates the close frienship of Robert Louis Stevenson ith H.J. Moors, a Samoan businessman and merchant.
The book has been reprinted as a more accessible paperback edition by the Telefoni Retzlaff Memorial Trust.
Misa says the family Memorial Trust is proud to have been able to reprint the 1910 book of HJ Moors, and writes this about it:
The book stays focused on RLS (Tusitala) rather than the author, which is a real credit to HJ Moors. Many of these biographies about famous people get lost in the author’s own efforts to plant their own story in the guise of writing about a “famous friend.”
:My Grandpa HJ Moors did not fall into this trap..”
