Former parliamentarian and government minister, Selmon Walters was laid to rest on Saturday, November 1, 2025 after a lively home-going service at the New Life Ministries chapel at North Union.
Walters, who died at the age of 65 on October 13, 2025, was accorded an official funeral. His body was laid in the temporary House of Parliament building at Glen where MP’s were among those who paid tribute to their former colleague. He was remembered in the tributes in Parliament and at the funeral service as a committed family man, and a very good constituency representative with a heart to serve.
At the time of his death, Walters was manager of the St Vincent Arrowroot Association, whose current employees in their tribute, spoke of Walters as a man who made a difference to workplace environment.
