THE New Democratic Party (NDP) is promising that from their very first day in office, they will begin to create a better life for all of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). This promise was made by party leader, Dr Godwin Friday, as he spoke at the launch of the NDP manifesto and thanksgiving rally on Thursday, November 20,2025.
Dr Friday is promising that after the general elections Thursday, November 27 , 2025 general elections “ no longer will the people of this country, especially the young people, be waiting for a future that never comes”.
The manifesto outlines the party’s priorities if given the opportunity to govern St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Among these priorities are plans to “eliminate entirely” all fees attached to attending the SVG Community College (SVGCC). He said the NDP will also abolish all secondary school fees and payment by the students for stationery materials at their various schools.
In presenting the manifesto at the event in Barrouallie, Dr Friday said “affordability should never be an obstacle in this country for our young people to access education”.
