The declining population in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), can be addressed in several ways, says Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, among them is the free movement of nationals of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and Organisation of Eastern Caribbean State (OECS).

Prime Minister Gonsalves announced last week Friday, July 11, that from October 1, 2025, Barbados, Belize, Dominica and St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), will have complete freedom of movement of nationals between these countries.

The Prime Minister was speaking at a press conference at Cabinet Room.

“…you’re going to have declining populations, and one of the ways these things have always been satisfied is through migration,” he said.
