Two Saint Lucian stars return home on holiday

Saint Lucia’s internationally acclaimed actor, Joseph Marcell, is enjoying a well-deserved visit to his homeland following a recent performance in Scotland. The star, best known for his role as Geoffrey Butler on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is currently on the island for a short holiday.

Marcell, who is based in London, was spotted on October 15 having lunch and drinks with fellow Saint Lucian creative, JD Douglas. Douglas, a celebrated producer, director, and writer, is also in Saint Lucia on holiday. The pair took the opportunity to catch up and enjoy their beloved homeland before their expected return to the UK.

Just two weeks ago, Douglas was across the pond in Scotland to support his compatriot, attending a performance by Marcell in the new world premiere staging of Bach’s lost work, Markus Passion

Both Marcell and Douglas are expected to return to the United Kingdom shortly, but their brief visit has been a welcome sight for fans and a reminder of the island’s celebrated contributions to the global arts and entertainment world.
