Hollywood star Taraji P. Henson is singing Saint Lucia’s praises after her recent getaway to the island in July.
Speaking on the August 26 release of Baby, This is Keke Palmer, Palmer’s namesake podcast, Henson described the trip in glowing terms, saying, “It was amazing. I was only there for four days… I was grateful.”
Henson revealed that her stay was hosted by Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort. She recounted her visit to Soufrière, sharing how mesmerised she was by its natural beauty.
“We went to this small town called Soufriere, and it’s in a volcano. Soufiere is this beautiful town right on the edge… in between these two mountains, it looks fake,” she said.
The actress noted what made the destination stand out for her. “It’s all black people. Usually…you’ll see a town like that in Scotland, or Al Mafia Coast or in Italy, or somewhere like that. But this is black people. It was, like, magical.”
Podcast host Palmer admitted she had never been to Saint Lucia, prompting Henson to encourage her fellow Emmy Award-winning actress to visit. “You have to go, it is so beautiful,” she said.
Henson’s remarks have sparked excitement among fans and Saint Lucians alike, with many celebrating her praise of the country’s natural charm.
