LONDON, United Kingdom, July 23, 2026 (SKNIS): The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis has been positioned as a strategic bridge connecting Africa, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom and international investors while promoting the country’s Sustainable Island State Agenda as a model for modern, resilient development.
Speaking as the keynote speaker at the Royal African Society’s 125th Anniversary Flagship Business Event at the London Stock Exchange, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, showcased Saint Kitts and Nevis as an emerging centre for investment, innovation and economic diplomacy.
He highlighted the Federation’s growing leadership role in strengthening Africa-Caribbean relations through initiatives including its partnership with Afreximbank, visa-free access for all African nationals, participation in the Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit and its selection to host the fifth AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF).
“Saint Kitts and Nevis is ready to serve as a bridge connecting African enterprise, Caribbean opportunity, British expertise and global capital,” said Dr. Drew.
Prime Minister Drew also invited investors to partner with Saint Kitts and Nevis in renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, technology, education, tourism and the creative industries under the country’s Sustainable Island State Agenda.
He explained that the national development strategy seeks to build resilience, expand opportunity and improve the quality of life for citizens while creating an attractive environment for responsible investment.
“We welcome investors who share this vision. We seek investment that creates jobs, transfers knowledge, strengthens local businesses, respects our environment and leaves strong institutions behind,” he stated.
The prime minister noted that the Sustainable Island State Agenda extends beyond environmental sustainability and represents a comprehensive blueprint for national transformation centred on water security, energy transition, food security, sustainable industries, resilient infrastructure, the circular economy and social development.
Dr. Drew also called for stronger institutional partnerships between Africa, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom, encouraging collaboration that combines capital with technology, education, innovation and long-term capacity building.
He said Saint Kitts and Nevis remains committed to serving as a trusted partner in advancing a modern Africa-Caribbean relationship founded on investment, knowledge exchange and sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.
