Vista Bank (Romania) S.A. has completed the acquisition of 100% of Investimental S.A., following approval by the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF). The transaction brings the brokerage company into Vista Bank’s financial ecosystem and marks a further step in its development as a diversified financial services group.
“Capital markets will play an increasingly important role in Romania’s economic development, in how businesses raise capital and how people can diversify their investments across different assets. We see a long-term opportunity in this evolution, and the acquisition of Investimental gives us the expertise and advanced technology to connect banking and investment services more closely around our clients. By combining these capabilities with trusted personal banking relationships, we will add real value to our clients as their financial aspirations evolve. This investment is part of a wider ambition: to strengthen our position in banking and play an active role in the consolidation of Romania’s financial services market, combining growth in our core business with selective opportunities to expand the group,” stated Georgios Athanasopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of Vista Bank.

The transaction advances Vista Bank’s vision of bringing together everyday banking, financing, savings and investments within an integrated financial services offering. By acquiring Investimental, the group adds specialist brokerage expertise and digital access to Romanian, European and US capital markets. This enables Vista Bank to better meet its clients’ increasingly sophisticated financial needs and aspirations.
“We are delighted to become part of Vista Bank’s financial ecosystem and look forward to the opportunities this brings for our clients and our team. The bank’s client relationships and distribution network give us the opportunity to bring Investimental’s services to a much wider audience, while continuing to enhance the experience we offer our existing clients. Together, we will build on our technology and our team’s expertise to make investing more accessible and support more people in becoming long-term investors. Our focus remains on developing services and relationships that grow with our clients over time,” stated Valentina Berevoianu, Chief Executive Officer of Investimental.
Investimental’s current management team will remain in place. The team will work with Vista Bank to develop the company’s next phase of growth, aligning its strategy with the group’s broader objectives while building on its specialist expertise and digital capabilities. For Investimental clients, business operations will continue as usual, and all existing services and platforms will remain available under the same conditions.
The completion of the transaction follows the acquisition agreement announced in January 2026 and continues Vista Bank’s expansion across complementary financial services. Following its acquisitions of Crédit Agricole Bank Romania, Alpha Leasing Romania and Alpha Insurance Brokerage (Romania), the addition of Investimental further broadens the group’s range of services and its capacity to support clients across their financial decisions and long-term plans.
The acquisition also comes as Vista Bank continues to strengthen its capital position and diversify funding sources. In April 2026, the bank listed its first bond issue, worth EUR 17 million, on the Regulated Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The bonds mature in March 2036 and form part of the bank’s EUR 100 million Medium-Term Notes programme. Vista Bank is currently contemplating potential strategic alternatives to further support its future growth and to diversify its funding sources, including potential equity and debt capital markets transactions, with proceeds intended to finance its general banking activities and support its long-term strategic objectives.
