Canadian athletic apparel brand lululemon is preparing to enter the Romanian market in 2026, marking its local debut as part of a broader expansion across Central and Eastern Europe. The rollout will be executed through franchise partnerships operated by Arion Retail Group.
Romania is one of five new markets where lululemon plans to open stores next year, alongside Austria, Hungary, Poland and Greece. The brand’s portfolio includes premium athletic apparel and accessories designed for yoga, running, training, tennis and golf, with products also available online via lululemon’s European e-commerce platform.

Lululemon currently operates in 30 countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Over the past year, the company has accelerated its international expansion through franchising, entering the Italian market earlier this summer, followed by recent launches in Denmark, Turkey and Belgium.
The expansion push is backed by solid international performance. In Q3 2025, lululemon reported revenues of $2.6 billion, up 7% year-on-year. While sales in North America declined by 2%, revenues generated outside the region surged by 33% compared to the same period last year.
