IT Genetics strengthens its regional and international development and reports revenues of RON 47.3 million in H1 2026

IT Genetics S.A. (BVB: ITG), a Romanian technology company specializing in digital automation and operational efficiency solutions for businesses, recorded consolidated operating revenues of RON 47.3 million in the first half of 2026, compared to RON 47.9 million in the same period last year. EBITDA stood at RON 0.69 million, compared to RON 1.3 million in H1 2025, while the consolidated net result was a loss of RON 0.45 million, compared to a net profit of RON 0.53 million in the same period of the previous year.
The evolution of profitability was influenced both by the lower level of activity in certain traditional verticals, amid an economic environment characterized by investment caution and longer commercial cycles, and by the continued investments in expanding the team, developing international operations, proprietary products and new business lines.
“The first half of the year was an important period for the development of IT Genetics, during which we continued to invest in the Group’s expansion and build new sources of growth. The progress achieved in the second quarter strengthens our confidence in the outlook for the remainder of the year and demonstrates the organization’s ability to adapt and move forward even in a challenging economic environment. In the second half of the year, we will focus on accelerating the projects under development, capitalizing on commercial opportunities and integrating the new capabilities across the Group. Our objective remains to develop IT Genetics as a regional technology integrator, with an increasingly diversified portfolio and a growing contribution from higher value-added solutions and services, stated Liviu Sima and Ștefan Axinte, co-founders of IT Genetics.

In Romania, the Group’s main market, the activity in the first half of the year took place in a challenging economic environment, which influenced the pace of investment and consumption in sectors relevant to IT Genetics, such as Manufacturing, Logistics & Distribution, Retail and HoReCa. In certain cases, the Group observed longer decision-making processes and the postponement or resizing of investments planned by clients.
In this context, the development of activity across certain regions and business lines partially offset the lower revenue levels recorded in some traditional verticals. The regional expansion strategy generated results particularly in Banat, where revenues increased by more than 45% compared to H1 2025, as well as in Transylvania, where revenues advanced by more than 13%. However, the higher percentage increases recorded in certain counties came from lower comparison bases, and therefore their impact on the Group’s total revenues remained limited.
The ITG PRO program, through which the Group is developing its indirect sales channel via reseller partners, continued to progress. At the same time, revenues generated by products marketed under the proprietary Metter brand increased by more than 50%, supported by both the POS systems category and the launch of a new line of industrial equipment. Although the contribution of these initiatives is increasing, their share in the Group’s overall activity was not yet sufficient to drive an increase in consolidated revenues.
Planograma WMS, the proprietary software platform for managing and optimizing warehousing and logistics operations, recorded revenue growth of approximately 40% compared to the first half of the previous year. This evolution supports the Group’s strategy of scaling its proprietary software solutions and gradually increasing the share of revenues generated by higher value-added products and services.
The Industrial Automation and Robotics business line recorded its first commercial results through the signing of three new contracts. Separately from the signed contracts, IT Genetics identified commercial opportunities with a cumulative value of approximately EUR 1.9 million in this business line.
Regarding diversification across industrial verticals, the Group recorded positive developments in Healthcare, Automotive, and Transport and Logistics. However, these areas are still at an early stage of development and make a smaller contribution to total revenues compared to IT Genetics’ traditional verticals.
Internationally, Spain continued to represent the Group’s main external growth driver. Revenues generated on the Spanish market increased by approximately 44% in H1 2026 compared to the same period last year. This evolution was supported by the consolidation of the Iberian hub, relocated in the first quarter to a new facility that increased operational capacity by approximately 50%, as well as by the development of the local team and the maturing of operations. In addition to Spain and Portugal, the hub in Spain will also serve the Group’s logistics operations in France.
In Italy, revenues increased by approximately 10% compared to H1 2025, amid the development of operations through the local legal entity and the launch of the commercial presence on the Amazon Italy platform. In France and Germany, the Group launched its local e-commerce platforms and recorded the first commercial transactions.
Another milestone of the first half of the year was the acquisition of Scale Expert, a Romanian company specializing in industrial and professional weighing solutions, with over 20 years of experience and a portfolio of more than 4,000 clients. The acquisition creates the premises for developing integrated solutions that combine weighing with automatic identification, labelling, traceability, software and process automation.
At the same time, in H1 2026, the Group accelerated the digitalization of internal processes and the adoption of artificial intelligence tools. The internal development team delivered ITG HelpDesk, a proprietary platform for managing technical support requests, License Manager, a tool for the centralized management of software licenses, as well as an AI agent for processing international invoices. IT Genetics also launched ITG Label Designer, a proprietary software solution for label design, which complements the Group’s portfolio of marketable software products.
Following the results recorded in the first half of the year and taking into account the evolution of the economic environment, IT Genetics revised its 2026 revenue and expense budget to reflect current market conditions and the pace of development observed in the first part of the year.
At consolidated level, the revised budget targets a turnover of RON 115.8 million, EBITDA of RON 3.8 million and a net profit of RON 2.7 million. Achieving the revised objectives requires a significant acceleration of activity and profitability in the second half of the year. This outlook is based on the seasonality specific to the Group’s activity, with the final months of the year traditionally representing the period with the highest level of commercial and project implementation activity.
Following the end of the reporting period, on September 7, 2026, the Index Committee of the Bucharest Stock Exchange approved the inclusion of IT Genetics shares in the composition of the BET AeRO index, starting with the trading session of September 21, 2026. The inclusion comes less than four months after ITG shares made their trading debut on the AeRO market on May 20, 2026.
