The “Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” Campaign Has Begun. See What It’s All About!

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” — that is the name of the newest initiative launched by the House of Free Speech. Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of Gazeta Polska and president of Telewizja Republika, explained what exactly this gesture of protest by supporters of our media against Donald Tusk’s government is meant to involve.

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” is both a humorous and a serious response by Tomasz Sakiewicz to the actions of the December 13 coalition aimed at TV Republika — a form of resistance against Donald Tusk’s team and its attempts to silence independent media.

It all began on Friday, when, on Tusk’s orders, part of the Sejm’s proceedings was placed under secrecy. Later, Niezalezna.pl revealed that during this closed session the prime minister spoke, among other things, about CPAC Poland being sponsored by Zondacrypto. Relying on absurd speculation, Tusk reportedly also mentioned Telewizja Republika several times.

After the classified part of the Sejm sitting concluded, opposition MPs stated unequivocally that they had no doubt that the president of Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz, “is being surveilled by the security services.” “Today the special services are being used for political combat,” said PiS MP Bartosz Kownacki in an interview with a reporter from the station.

And so — it was time for a response. And that response is the “Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” campaign.

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” — What Is the Campaign About?

Sakiewicz described the concept today while opening his weekly program Polityczna Kawa. In short, the initiative addresses a very serious issue — continued support for the House of Free Speech.

“I decided to launch a campaign in the media I manage, responding to the government’s recent actions. Remember — although it may have a humorous aspect, Republika faces a very real threat. Recent events show that the government not only surveils us, but seeks to liquidate Republika — to hit us legally, financially, technically — on every level. We have knowledge of this. We know how many actions have been taken, how vast the resources committed to destroy, discredit, disable, and block us. And only thanks to your support can we continue to exist,” said Sakiewicz.

He also referred to recent government actions that resulted in — among other things — the circulation of a photo of him in a restaurant. Although the matter was trivial, both the December 13 coalition and its allied media tried to spin it into a “major scandal.”

“And those recent scenes — when they sent large teams after me just to track whom I meet, where, and why… A huge financial and organisational effort, which ended with a photo of me drinking coffee in a foreign restaurant — shows that there is indeed a highly comedic side to this story. That’s why we decided to respond to the government’s demand. Let’s respond en masse: support the government, spy on Sakiewicz,” said the head of Republika.

So What Will the ‘Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz’ Campaign Involve?

It is simpler than it may seem.

“Every time you see me on Republika’s broadcast, please give us a signal that you noticed me. The best way is to support us — for example, by using the QR code and making even a small donation with the note ‘I’m spying on Sakiewicz.’ It would be great if you included the time and program in which you saw me. That way, we will know — and we will be grateful — that you are watching and supporting us. The same applies to our other media. For example: ‘I bought Gazeta Polska — I’m spying on Sakiewicz.’ I’m everywhere, easily accessible. I’m the simplest object of surveillance. All you need to do is turn on TV Republika. No need to send planes, special equipment, or the whole Olsen Gang. And to ‘discredit’ me, they even tried to fake an invoice so clumsily that even artificial intelligence can detect it,” he added.

Sakiewicz also commented on our portal’s revelations regarding topics discussed during the classified part of Friday’s Sejm session.

“What’s more, Donald Tusk spent two hours of a secret meeting discussing a bill designed to attack us, the president of Poland, and one of our advertisers. The problem is that the bill was actually advantageous to him, while the president’s veto was not. He probably did not understand the content of this very extensive bill. The government’s embarrassment will be very hard to cover up. Now they will do everything to obscure it with aggressive actions,” he said.

A Call to Action

“Well then — we have to help them. Let’s join the campaign. Just as under the occupation and under communism — let’s answer with humor. Let’s show our attitude toward the thugs who cannot tolerate free media, who feel threatened by them, and therefore must spy on them, violate the law, and breach fundamental human rights. Let this be our campaign: support the government, spy on Sakiewicz,” he appealed.
