During the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, an unusual moment occurred. “Christ is born to set us free” – the attendees sang a Christmas carol during the ceremony of receiving the Bethlehem Light of Peace (BŚP), and the singing concluded with a short accent played on wind chimes. This caught the attention of President Karol Nawrocki.
The Bethlehem Light of Peace (BŚP) reached Poland this year on 7 December. Girl and boy scouts from ZHP (ZHP) received it from Slovak scouts. The ceremonial handover took place at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Zakopane-Krzeptówki. Today, the light arrived at the Presidential Palace, where it was received by the presidential couple.
During the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Christmas carols were sung in praise of the newborn Jesus. At one point, Karol Nawrocki glanced at a girl scout who had played the wind chimes.
“May I?” he asked. The scout nodded, and President Nawrocki tried his hand at playing the instrument.
“A detail from today? Here you go,” wrote presidential photographer Mikołaj Bujak, posting the recording. The video on the X platform has already been liked a thousand times and has reached more than 40,000 views.
