ILIGAN CITY – Two M113A2 armored personnel carriers (APCs) were deployed to Tubaran, Lanao del Sur, to help secure the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) on Sept. 14 there.
Army Capt. Maria Lily Salazar, commanding officer of the 4th Cavalry Company (Separate), Armor “Pambato” Division, said the APCs will support troops under the 101st “Three Red Arrows” Infantry Brigade.

She added that armored assets were also sent to Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur, including V-15 Commando and Simba armored vehicles
Salazar said the armored assets were transported using lowbed trailers.
According to her, their company will get directions from the 4th Infantry Division in Camp Edilberto Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City and the Eastern Mindanao Command in the Davao region to support the 1st Infantry “Tabak “Division and the Western Mindanao Command, respectively.
Aside from the 4th Cavalry Company, the 2nd Mechanized Infantry “Magbalantay” Brigade was also deployed to support security measures in Lanao del Sur for the historic BPE. /coa
