MANILA, Philippines — The Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) remained the leading regional parliamentary political party (RPPP) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao parliamentary elections on Tuesday, Sept. 15, the unofficial parallel count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) showed.
As of 2: 03 a.m., the BFP garnered 646,743 votes, which accounted for 34.9 percent of the total votes. Meanwhile, the United Bangsamoro Justice Party came second with 600,126, or 32.9 percent.

This comes as the election returns (ERs) received by the Commission of Elections nears completion at 97.16 percent, or 5,064 ERs from the expected 5,212 turnout, as of 2:45 a.m.
Below is the partial PPCRV tally vote distribution among the RPPP:
- Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP): 646,743 votes (34.9 percent)
- United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP): 600,550 (32.4 percent)
- BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC): 383,321 (20.7 percent)
- Bangsamoro Peoples’ Democratic Party (Rayaat Democratic Party): 67,780 (3.7 percent)
- Progresibong Bangsamoro Party (Pro Bangsamoro Party): 36,297 (2.0 percent)
- Bangsamoro Party (BAPA): 33,980 (1.8 percent)
- Bangsamoro Empowerment and Social Transformation Party (BEST Party): 26,633 (1.4 percent)
- Moro Ako Party: 16,679 (0.9 percent)
- Mahardika Party (Mahardika): 14,501 (0.8 percent)
- Alliance of Bangsamoro Tri-People’s Party (ABOT): 11,177 (0.6 percent)
- People’s Consultative (Mushawara) Party: 7,997 (0.4 percent)
- Indigenous, Settlers, Sama and Minorities Alliance Party (ISAMA): 3,292 (0.2 percent)
- Partido Bangon Bangsamoro (PBB): 2,561 (0.1 percent)
According to the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, voters are expected to choose a party rather than an individual candidate for the RPPP. It further explained that 40 seats will be distributed based on each party’s share of the votes—while the party’s nominated individual will fill the seat it wins. /cb
