President Fujimori receives report on Armed Forces operations in Peru

visited the Armed Forces Joint Command (CCFFAA) headquarters in Lima.

At the site, the Head of State received a situational report on the military operations and actions being carried out in different areas of the national territory.

The working meeting was also attended by Ministers Rafael Belaunde (Defense) and Marco Vinelli (Agrarian Development-Irrigation).

During the event, Armed Forces Joint Command Chief Army General Cesar Briceño explained the deployment and main actions carried out by the Operational and Special Commands.

These actions are carried out within the framework of the constitutional missions assigned to the Armed Forces.

The presentation provided an overview of Peru’s operational situation and the actions aimed at safeguarding independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; participating in maintaining internal order in accordance with the current legal framework; contributing to national development; and participating in disaster risk management and the State’s foreign policy.

These are the five strategic roles that guide the Armed Forces’ actions.

As part of the day’s activities, President Fujimori and the ministers communicated online with the commanders responsible for the country’s different security zones, who reported on the actions underway in their respective areas of responsibility.
