Peru’s President: We will leave guiding principles for the next administration | Noticias

stated on Thursday that his administration will leave guiding principles for the next government to ensure continued attention to sectors of critical importance, including healthcare.

The Head of State emphasized that one of the fundamental pillars of this administration has been strengthening the health sector in order to promote development.

In that regard, the top official stressed the importance of governing based on results as a way to restore public confidence.

“While we remain in office through July, you will find technocrats serving the country. We have a Council of Ministers made up of technical experts, and that is why we are making rapid progress in what we do,” Balcazar expressed.

The President made the remarks during a ceremony marking the allocation of land for the construction of the Jose Casimiro Ulloa National Emergency Institute and the Oscar Trelles Montes National Institute of Neurological Sciences in Lima’s Chorrillos district.

During the event, the Head of State highlighted that the two facilities will represent a major transformation and serve as a model in healthcare.

The top official attended the ceremony alongside Health Minister Juan Carlos Velasco.

The land allocation will strengthen emergency response capabilities and highly complex surgical care, while supporting innovation, research, and the training of future neuroscience professionals.

It will also enhance referral services for specialized neurological care.
