The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, met with a delegation from the Wallenberg Group and the Swedish Ambassador to Peru, to explore new investment opportunities in strategic sectors such as defense, telecommunications, and mining.
The meeting confirmed the reopening of Sweden’s resident Embassy in Peru this year.
“This diplomatic milestone reflects international confidence in our economy,” the Presidential Office stated via social media.

The Head of State also took part in the multisectoral fair “Más Cerca del Perú” (Closer to Peru), this time dedicated to Ica region. It was held at the Government Palace’s forecourt.
“This space highlights the work of artisans and entrepreneurs who preserve our cultural identity and strengthen the local economy, making visible the government’s drive for economic development rooted in identity,” the Presidential Office reported.
