Peru: Head of State to enact bill on CAS workers | Noticias

on Friday expressed the government’s commitment to enact the bill approved by Congress that recognizes bonuses and Service Time Compensation (CTS) for Administrative Service Contract (CAS) workers.

“I commit to enact the law,” Balcazar said during a meeting with CAS worker representatives and Congressman Guido Bellido.

The Head of State indicated that, within the timeframe the Executive Branch has to enact the law, mechanisms will be reviewed for its implementation, financing, and corresponding regulation.

The bill extends the right to Independence Day and Christmas bonuses to workers under the labor regime established by Legislative Decree No. 1057, which regulates the CAS.

The legal measure, which will benefit around 350,000 workers, also recognizes the right to CTS.
