The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, participated in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines and Natural Resources Canada, aimed at strengthening cooperation on critical minerals and mining sustainability.
According to the Presidential Office, the agreement will “strengthen cooperation on critical minerals and mining sustainability,” within the framework of bilateral relations.
It was also reported that the memorandum signing falls within the objective of “promoting strategic partnerships that generate development with responsibility.”
This event took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
It was attended by Ministers Hugo de Zela (Foreign Affairs), Angelo Alfaro (Energy and Mines), and Canada’s Ambassador to Peru, Jean Dominique Ieraci.
