Peru 2026 Elections: ONPE continues sending electoral materials to interior regions | Noticias

continued dispatching voting materials by land on Thursday, May 28, at 8:00 a.m. to the Decentralized Electoral Process Offices (ODPE) in the country’s interior regions.

To this end, nine trucks departed from the Electoral Management Office warehouses in Lima’s Lurin district bound for the ODPE offices in Tacna, San Roman, Azangaro, San Antonio de Putina, Huancane, Puno, Chucuito, Arequipa, Jose Luis Bustamante y Rivero, Camana, Mollendo, Ilo, Mariscal Nieto, Cusco, La Convencion, and Urubamba.

Each vehicle is under permanent escort by the Peruvian National Police and monitored via satellite, in addition to having an Electoral Management Office representative on board.

The electoral documentation includes ballot boxes and reserve ballot boxes, packages for polling place coordinators, signs and labels, folded cardboard ballot boxes, and voting booths.

The electoral body is also distributing Braille templates to facilitate voting for people with visual disabilities.

Previously, the electoral materials underwent verification by JNE inspectors.

For the transportation of electoral documentation, ONPE carried out the final assembly process in a timely manner on Wednesday, May 27.

Materials for Metropolitan Lima and Callao

In the case of Metropolitan Lima and Callao region, the deployment of electoral materials to polling centers is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 5, starting at 10:00 p.m.

The operation will be carried out through 217 transport units departing from the electoral body’s warehouses located at the ONPE headquarters in Lurin.
